This two-day symposium (with a prologue screening of James Whale’s The Bride of Frankenstein on Halloween) hosted by the Kahn Institute at Smith College will invite a compelling group of scholars, artists and writers, as well as students and the public, to engage in readings, dialogues, presentations and screenings of Frankenstein films investigating Mary Shelley’s historic novel, its legacy, and the range of interdisciplinary resonances still pertinent today.
