WE WANT YOUR SCARIEST HORROR STORIES!
Send submissions to the President of the Writers Guild (email@example.com) as a Word document or PDF. Submission must include a cover page with your name, email, and phone number. Please make sure your name does not appear anywhere in the story. Submissions are limited to the first 30 Graduate and Undergraduate students.
Short story submissions are limited to 10 pages (approx. 2,500 words), double-spaced, and in a standard 10-12 point font. Indicate if “HORROR,” “COMEDY-HORROR,” or “ROMANCE-HORROR.” Please only submit one story to one category. There will be an $80 prize for the 1st place winners in each category.
All submissions must be your own unpublished work. By submitting you agree the Creative Writers Guild may publish your work once, in whole or part, in our winner’s collection. After publication, all rights revert to you.
An awards ceremony and reading will be held on Tuesday, November 13th at 6 p.m. in McConnell Library’s Information Literacy Center B. Refreshments provided; all welcome.
