To celebrate the 200th Anniversary of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein the Newburgh Free Library has arranged programs for all-ages based on this literary classic and pop-culture icon.
Mon., Oct. 15 – 11 a.m.- 12 p.m.- A Frankenstein themed paper-craft for ages 2-6 with an adult caregiver.
Wed., Oct. 17 – 1 -2:30 p.m.- Free showing of Frankenweenie for kids & teens.
Thurs., Oct. 18 – 6 -7 p.m.- In celebration of the 200th anniversary of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, join us for snacks and a discussion of the graphic novel Mary’s Monster: Love Madness, and How Mary Shelley Created Frankenstein by Lita Judge. Open to youth age 11-17.
Thurs., Oct. 25- 6:30 -7 :45 p.m.-Books & Brews Book Club will be meeting to discuss Frankenstein by Mary Shelley at 2 Alices Coffee Lounge in Newburgh.
Wed., Oct. 31- 6:30 -8 p.m.- A special Halloween screening of Universal’s 1931 classic “Frankenstein” starring Boris Karloff as Frankenstein’s creature.
